What we doWe provide a framework for a wide range of activities including:
The work has been regularly evaluated and shows clear evidence of significant benefit to learners, providers, and the wider community. Nearly all the FE, 6th form colleges and independent specialist providers and a number of work based learning providers have been involved. Many providers have reported a rise in inspection/Self Assessment Report grades due to a more skilled workforce and more appropriate curriculum. The initiative has been led by a group of 12 specialist Facilitators who have significant experience of working with learners in the sector. They have produced reports of their local areas, mapping programmes and support for learners, and identifying development needs and gaps in provision. The Facilitators are continuing to support providers and to work in collaboration with Local Authorities to improve outcomes learners with learners. The Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) values Action for Inclusion as a model which is effective in developing post 16 provision for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities through the collaborative activity of providers, local authorities and other agencies. The sub menu pages to the left provide some examples, from a wide range of Action for Inclusion activity, which extend provision for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in the south east region. |
