  • Action for Inclusion conference

A date for you diaries.... 15th November! (venue to be announced)

Background:  Action for Inclusion has recently launched a quality improvement service featuring, amongst other things, quality audits and impact assessments. We have been speaking with Ofsted and the CQC as care support in GFE, as I am sure you know, is unregulated. Ofsted want to see what evidence there is to support higher grade self assessment and a quality audit can help with this.

On the 15th November we will be holding a conference, attended by Ofsted, to look at 'Improving outcomes', with workshops that are specifically designed to support local authorities and FE with the local capacity building agenda; quality improvement, especially of non accredited provision, is at the heart of that agenda. We expect the conference to include key note speakers from Ofsted and the CQC.

Details of the conference will follow at the start of the autumn term and if you are interested in a quality audit to improve outcomes for young people, and look at a quality improvement plan to help evidence a SAR re-grading from 2 to 1, then do let us know.

  • Action for Inclusion launches a new quality service

When high support cost provision is available locally, and especially for people with a profound and complex range of medical, health, learning and/or physical disability needs, specialist support is needed to ensure that the delivery of education and training in the post-16 sector is in accordance with parameters set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and OFSTED. The CQC do not currently have authority in a non residential further education setting and OFSTED, though thorough in approach, visits infrequently with a focus on conventional educational attainment.

Action for Inclusion offers a package of support to ensure that your existing provision is running efficiently, cost effectively and on line to achieve top quality grades at inspection. For more details call Kate Brennan on 07974 937988.
